About the author

Patrik Horacio (born 11.1.2002) is a Czech painter and draughtsman of Spanish origin. He is a young artist with a distinctive, somewhat provocative style. His work can be classified into two levels. From the point of view of his drawing work, which is mainly figurative, he is concerned with the depiction of the human body with everything, as he says: "I only depict the human body and everything that belongs to it, as it is, as God created it, man has made nudity and everything connected with it a vulgar, vulgar thing that should be hidden from the public. I hate censorship... Art, in my opinion, should depict the truth, the reality, and then distort it into certain forms, only then is it real art for me." In his previous paintings we can mostly encounter themes of landscapes, he perceives the landscape as such as the human body in a different form, more spread out but equally fascinating and breathtaking. These are mostly Spanish landscapes of the island of Mallorca, where much of his family comes from. He understandably has a great affinity with the island itself, which he also interprets in his paintings. He comes from an artistic family, his great-grandmother was a painter, his father spent some time making cartoons for magazines and comics, which he drew for his son. When Patrik saw his father's comics, he began to imitate him and draw them with him. This started his love for art, which he says is everything to him.
