"This painting is part of my "Maroon Fire" series, in which I explore the fragile balance between destruction and rebirth. I was inspired by a visit to Caernarfon Castle in Wales, where I perceived how light can emerge from chaos, how something burning can at the same time illuminate. Through layered textures and contrasts of dark blue, fiery yellow and earthy tones, I tried to capture an atmosphere that is at once stormy and hopeful.
