in beautiful cherry wood, Metathron is depicted here, an angel who is not very well known and embodies "He who dwells on the throne next to the divine". here he also plays with the attributes of Serapis, who was the patron of Egyptian Alexandria and the entire Ptolemaic empire.........and as a sculpture it belongs in a pair with my sculpture of Isis, Eseta....Due to his popularity he was, together with the worship of Isis, originally the Egyptian goddess Eseta,
