The gorilla male Richard became the father of the first and famous baby Moja at Prague Zoo. Given the paternity of further offspring, he founded an important genetic fund of gorillas and retired to a well-deserved rest. The gorilla is black, so the use of black ink for painting, drawing and scratching on chalk paper was a clear choice. Masking liquid was used to create the grainy background.
