The painting expresses the disintegration of identity and inner tension on the brink of breaking point. The face breaks down and reassembles itself, as if losing itself. The red lines resemble wounds, traces of emotions, and invisible processes pulsing beneath the surface. It is a moment of transition, when the old is fading away but the new has not yet had time to emerge.
