A stone with a crown. Heavy, motionless, silent. And yet a king. "The Royal Jester" is a painting of paradox: when we put a crown on something, does it automatically become noble? Or does that very coronation reveal the absurdity of the whole situation? The painting is raw, direct, and at the same time frighteningly current. Not many colors are needed — just a gesture, form, meaning.
