In an abstract flash of silence, a face is born, gentle, almost shapeless, and yet unforgettable. A young girl, on the edge of childhood and womanhood, raises her gaze upward. In her eyes is mirrored something more than a question, it is faith. The outlines disappear, as if carried away by time or a dream. The face dissolves in light, becomes part of space, surface and breath. And yet it remains present, like a fragile certainty that hope can be invisible, and yet real.
