I am 41 years old.
The prices of my works reflect, above all, my need to keep creating, to try new approaches, and to push my boundaries on paper even further. The prices are set to cover the cost of materials, commissions, and shipping, while also leaving me a little something for the time I spend creating. At the beginning of my journey, I focused mainly on pastels. I worked from templates, experimented with various techniques, and gradually learned.
Five years ago, I decided to take a different path; I began painting outdoors, capturing what caught my eye around me in a street art style.
Today, I create outdoors. I still find joy in painting and strive to ensure that my work fulfills me. For a short time, I signed my paintings with the pseudonym Klein, but that lasted only a few months. Today, I sign my work with my real name, Veselý, once again.
Lately, I’ve been focusing primarily on what I call “film pastels,” inspired by scenes from movies that have resonated with me. When inspiration strikes, I also enjoy creating larger oil paintings; for me, it’s a form of art therapy—standing before a blank canvas and transforming it into something alive.
I also create various “Evocations,” “Temptations,” “Reminiscences,” and other creative works that emerge spontaneously based on my current mood. I choose the titles intuitively; often, my inner voice “gives” them to me, and I only occasionally check them through ChatGPT to see if they make sense. And if they do, the title is born.
