"Star" is an explosion of light in darkness; warm golden-ochre and brown layers form the foundation, like stardust or the soil of a forming star, over which thick white, gray and dark strokes of brush and palette knife roll. White droplets and blendings evoke stars, meteors or a nebula, while green and blue-green accents add depth and the mystery of the night sky. The impasto texture is almost tangible — you feel the energy of the explosion, the cold of the stars and the warmth of the base that holds everything together. This work brings hope
