I enjoy painting simple still lifes and working in a minimalist style. I call it Minimalism in Realism. At first glance, the painting shows a simple household object, an old metal meat grinder on a sheet of paper. The grinder, once a tool of domestic routine, becomes for our era a symbol of dehumanization, a cold, mechanical device that swallows and transforms the living into a uniform, indistinguishable mass.
