"Time of Life" is the artist's most powerful psychological work to date, created over two years, during a period when she still shared her life with her mother. In the painting, symbols of life, transience, and hope come together — an hourglass in the form of a woman, from whose mouth grains of sand are pouring, represent the individual moments of our existence. Each grain is a story. Some carry specific images and memories (family, father, fragments of human destinies), others remain empty — as a symbol of wasted time. The grains that
