Alkotás leírása

Kurt Donald Cobain (February 20, 1967, Aberdeen – April 5, 1994, Seattle) was an American singer, guitarist, songwriter, lead vocalist, and founder of the grunge band Nirvana. In 2003, Rolling Stone magazine ranked him 12th on music editor David Fricke’s personal list of the greatest guitarists of all time, and in 2011, he was ranked 73rd on the magazine’s all-time list. His first band was called Fecal Matter; it was formed in 1985, and Kurt Cobain played in it with members of the Melvins. This punk band was short-lived and never released a single album. Only an unofficial demo titled *Illiteracy Will Prevail* has survived. Shortly thereafter, however, Nirvana was formed in 1987. Kurt Cobain wrote the vast majority of Nirvana’s songs. In 1989, the band released its first album, titled *Bleach*, which didn’t make much of an impact—it didn’t gain fame until after *Nevermind*. Two years later, on September 24, 1991, the band released the groundbreaking album *Nevermind*.

“If my eyes could show my soul, everyone would cry when they saw my smile.”
