My goal was to create a work that would draw the viewer into a world full of dynamics, vibrant colors, energy and life. Originally I intended to create a purely abstract painting, but something was still missing from it... Perhaps a touch of life? Perhaps a pinch of magic? And what can bring more living magic into a painting than a magnificent creature like a kingfisher? Its dazzling colors perfectly suited this work. From the very first brushstrokes I felt it coming to life under my hands, as if it were about to fly off the canvas at any moment.
