Peonies: My Endless Inspiration

Peonies are my absolute passion, and they appear most frequently in my work. In this painting you see here, I decided to capture them through my favorite abstract style; my goal isn’t to create a faithful copy of reality, but to convey the emotions and energy these flowers radiate.

On a 100x100 cm canvas, I worked in mixed media, where shades of pink blend in delicate layers. I wanted the painting not only to soothe the soul but also to literally shine in the room. That’s why I incorporated gold leaf and gold spray paint into the composition. It is precisely these details that highlight the delicacy of the petals and give the entire painting a luxurious, vibrant touch that changes depending on how the light falls on the painting.

For me, this work embodies the tenderness and joy that peonies bring to my life. It’s a piece of my inner world that I wanted to transfer onto the canvas and share with you.
