Description
Peonies. An abstraction; an emotional, not botanical, representation. Color: pink with gold. Mixed media on canvas, gold leaf, and gold spray paint, 100 × 100 cm
Peonies here represent energy, not a faithful depiction of the flower. Layers of pink blend together, while the gold and gold spray paint catch the light depending on your perspective. Peonies embody the tenderness and joy that a flower offers without needing to be described. The viewer is meant to feel the radiance, softness, and warmth that this large square brings to the wall.
