Jan Mrkvička (46) works as a humanitarian worker. He is a passionate photographer, looking for beauty in countries that we perceive more through poverty and suffering. In his oils or watercolours, whether portrait or landscape, he tries to capture the atmosphere of the moment. He has also illustrated his books Earth and Agony. Mrkvička lives with his family in Buštěhrad.
