In 1972 I graduated from the Secondary School of Arts and Crafts in Brno under Dalibor Chatrný. During my studies, I continued to study painting with Petr Skácel. After graduation I became a typographer. Since 1980, I have been printing art graphics (engraving, drypoint, etching...), for six years in the graphic workshop of Díla and since 1988 independently, on a service permit and then on a trade license. I was forced to stop my artistic activity in 1978. In 2014, after a forced "break", I returned to artistic work with an exhibition entitled "Return to Colour" in Mikulov - the site of my last exhibition in 1978. Therefore, I consider myself a beginner - a "young" - and thanks to that also an unadventurous artist. I use professional acrylic paints from renowned, foreign manufacturers for painting my paintings on linen canvas (the details of the paints used are given on the reverse of the blind frame). For works on paper (Arches Aquarelle cardboard) - watercolours - I also use top quality paints.
