Jiří Vlach

Painter, graphic designer, illustrator, photographer. Member of a professional association of visual artists. Autodidact, private study. He is mainly engaged in graphic work, mostly in combination of etching with aquatint and ex libris, of which he still has about seventy, mostly for leading European collectors. In his prints he combines figures and faces with rich decorative elements of vegetation and even human artefacts. He also creates paintings and drawings whose mysterious symbolism transcends into surrealism and is inspired by dreams and fantasy. He has been awarded several prestigious international prizes for his ex-libris work.
