Jitka Koláčková

(*1956) I trained as a goldsmith - jeweller. For many years I devoted myself to my craft, which includes drawing products, etc...It was demanding and time-consuming and there came a period when my work did not fulfill me anymore.I enrolled in a painting course. I was so fascinated and liked it that I stayed with painting.I am taking a long-term oil painting course with painter and teacher Monti Kubrik.I have tried different techniques, but oil painting is my heart's affair.I really enjoy painting and every time I have a painting done I look forward to finishing it.I like colorful, bold paintings. I paint landscapes, portraits, still lifes, and anything else I like, even commissioned to my own specifications.Every time I paint I find myself in a completely different world, everything bad goes away and I enjoy a wonderful relaxation while I create.I am happy when my work makes you happy.I have had several solo exhibitions. I have also exhibited in group exhibitions, even abroad.I try to make my paintings as good as possible and there is a piece of me in each one.I am a member of the Artists Gallery.
