I have been painting since 2014, when after 30 years of practice in advocacy, new horizons opened up for me. I am driven to create by the need to try to express the echoes of my soul. I have no intention to create something specific, I always create with an emerging feeling and I search for it until I find "it". I often surprise myself how adventurous this process can be. The adventurous part is mainly in finding the essence that is hidden somewhere inside me and I connect to it through creation. Thus I am putting together a "puzzle" that is unbounded and obviously connected mainly to the elements, archetypes, symbols, etc. With a few exceptions, I always get the need to paint a certain expression of the eyes, which undoubtedly mirror the soul or the approach to it. The other way is usually through a connection with the EARTH. Especially lately, painting leads me to portray intensifying to urgent transformation processes, the essence of which is always and without exception the desire to liberate the soul, to capture its unbound and uniqueness, crystalline purity, colorfulness, indefinability ....This always involves self-support and consequently the human journey towards kindness.Without the process of painting, I would probably never have achieved these insights! And it makes me happy when there is someone who agrees with my inner expression, because I see it as a process of connecting, sharing, supporting each other and ultimately growing the much needed trust in LIFE.I usually use different mediums to express what I feel. I also love to create paintings in enamel or relief, torsos, busts in clay, etc. It's important for me to be in connection with the elements like fire, water, earth, metal, wood working together in the process, it's basically a small/big miracle.I also paint paintings on commission, usually in response to my insights into the clients I provide my therapeutic services to.I wish for all of them to talk to their soul and be happy on their life journey...Your Karolina Christo
