Kateřina Bohušíková

I come from Ostrava, but at home I live in a wonderful village called Fryčovice. I started painting in 2017. I had no idea what I was getting into, much less that I would get so caught up and fulfilled at the same time. I studied marketing and then geoscience and montane tourism at the University of Applied Sciences. So far away from painting and art. Yet art found me on its own. It may sound like a cliché, but painting is an escape from everyday reality for me. From everyday, stereotypical duties and, let's face it, from children and their screams. :) I paint because I need it. I love how I can express my feelings through color. How I put a piece of myself in every painting. The way the paint smells and most importantly the process that is created under my hands. I never know in advance what a painting will look like. Each one comes from the power of the moment. And I look forward to each piece like a little kid. Plain and simple, it's never too late to start. Would you like to give it a try?
