Klára Olivíková

My name is Klára and I have lived with art since I was a child. I studied theory in the field of art at the Faculty of Philosophy of Palacký University in Olomouc in the field of Art Studies. This has developed my theoretical knowledge and helped my art to take on new shapes and develop more and more. Practically, I am self-taught, always learning new things and mostly approaching my art intuitively. I don't follow too many set rules, but rather like to break them with my experiments on canvas. I mainly work with acrylic painting on canvas, then I like to transfer illustrations with acrylic on paper, I also like to work with ink art, watercolour and gouache. I also work with drawing in heavy pencil and crayon. My latest interest is technology and therefore I have been working with digital painting for quite some time. Thanks to my digital tablet I am able to capture more ideas and then use them to transfer ideas to the canvas. The main themes of my work are colourful landscapes, emotions, animal kingdoms, fantasy and cultures.
