My name is Martina Becková and I would like to introduce you to what I do best, which is painting portraits... I started painting when I was fifteen, just for fun... At that time I was attending high school. I enjoyed painting very much, but as I grew older I had less and less time for this joy... At the age of nineteen I had my first son and at the age of twenty-five my second son. When the boys were old enough to let me paint in peace, the biggest blow of my life came, cancer... At the age of thirty I went through a very difficult period, accompanied by subsequent surgery, chemotherapy and a lot of radiation... Being a great fighter, I soon picked myself up and in the hospital, already during the radiation, I started painting again... My endless optimism, and perhaps painting, helped me conquer this disease. As you can already read from my few lines, nowhere do I mention that I studied at an art school. I am self-taught. I like to observe the world around me. I paint everything that is beautiful. Animals, flowers, landscapes, but most of all I was attracted by the human face, which I am still studying today and which never ceases to attract me with its perfection and beauty, both in shape, in features and in overall appearance... At the right time I met a great person, my friend, who showed me the right way and is a support in my business and in life. He taught me how to present and show my work to people. With his help and patience, I can continue to evolve. In 2014, I started holding painting classes where I teach oil painting using Dry brush, Watercolor and Acrylic techniques. I took a certification course in oil painting using the method of the American painter Bob Ross in Berlin and received a certification that now entitles me to teach this technique in my courses. In 2017, I established my own studio with a small gallery in Semily, where I create and also teach painting. I firmly believe that you will like my works and will be happy to visit my other upcoming exhibitions filled with pictures of human beings ????
