Musaab Alsheikh Ali

Musaab Alsheikh Ali, writer and artist, lives in Germany. He has three published literary works and numerous different art exhibitions. His literary and artistic career began during his studies at the Faculty of Law in Lebanon, where he graduated in 2017. He first published several texts of his first book "the call to prayer of abandonment", which was published in 2021 by Rasslan Alaa Al-Din publishing house in Damascus, in the Lebanese newspaper Al-Nahar. This was after he won the first prize in the prose poetry competition in Syria held by the Cultural Forum in Tartous - Mshat al-Helu in spring 2018. His second literary work was a theatrical dialog, which he co-authored with the writer "Bana Khadour" and was published under the title "The Wine Bar of the Dervishes" by the publishing house Rasslan Alaa Al-Din Damascus and Cairo in 2022. At the same time, he also published a collection of texts in the colloquial language of the Levant under the title "Makatib", also published by Rasslan Publishing House. In the artistic field, his various activities and participations extended from his native city of Masyaf to other Syrian cities and Lebanon, where he continued his university studies. His travels then took him to the city of Erbil in northern Iraq, where he stayed in 2021, and finally to Germany, where he currently lives. His last activity there in 2022 was a workshop entitled "Art is also a language" in Kiel, Northern Germany.
