I'm originally from Coventry in the UK, where I spent 30 years as a freelance graphic designer. In 2019 I relocated to the Czech Republic. I've settled in a wonderful small town, Karviná, in the East, close to the Polish border. Having previously played around with some drypoint printing, I stumbled on the monotype process by accident. I was hooked from the very first print, and monotyping has become my primary medium in which to work. More recently I've combined monotyping with watercolour - a marriage of rich texture and vibrant colour. When my fingers aren't covered in ink (which is most of the time) I like to explore my new country and those around it
