Tereza Jacob

Tereza Jakubíková was born on 21 May 1990 in Hranice na Moravě. Until she was 10 years old she lived in Lipník nad Bečvou. Then her parents divorced and she, her mother and other siblings moved to Bohemia. Tereza studied at the secondary school of packaging technology in Štětí. At the age of 25, she decided to make a radical change in her life and moved to Sydney where she studied HR. After two years in Australia, she made her way back to the Czech Republic and in April 2019, she painted her first painting, not knowing at the time that this was the beginning of her new story, the story of an abstract painter.Tereza opened her first opening in a Prague café back in December of that year. She can boast of selling her work to Vienna, Australia and all over the Czech Republic. After two and a half years of making art, she opened her second opening at TwinArt Gallery, where you could see works that reflect her life growing up in domestic violence, but also going through an insidious illness and many disappointments in life. Through her work, she wants to encourage people to be open and honest, to encourage those around you to not be afraid to talk about how you feel and that it's okay if there are times in your life when things aren't going well.
