Tereza Podpinková

My name is Tereza Podpinková and I come from Frýdek - Místek. I have always been close to the arts. They became my life - starting with dancing, then writing poetry and music lyrics, and in recent years I have been painting. I experiment and combine these different directions. I like to paint abstractions. I love what abstractions represent - infinite possibilities and freedom. I love the rich and vivid colours, the liveliness of the paintings. I find inspiration in nature, in the colourful details of everyday life, in the paintings of my favourite artists and in my heart. When I paint, I let my intuition and feeling guide me. I consider the process of painting to be an absolute experience and a means to relaxation, freedom, chance, spontaneity.I paint with acrylic and oil paints. I like to use the techniques of pouring (pouring acrylic paint), slash painting (splashing paint), tupping and in addition, I also like to touch the painting with my hand, brush, roller, in fact anything that calls to me at the time. I paint what comes out of me, but also what comes out of others. I can tune in to the other person and imprint their energy on the canvas. It's a magical ritual for me.
