Věra Sufiya Valášková

Věra Sufiya Valášková studied at the Secondary School of Graphic Arts in Jihlava, then at the Technical University in Liberec in textile and clothing design, media design at the Corcoran College of Art and Design in Washington D.C., and Landscape Design School in New Zealand. She has created and exhibited abroad (USA, India) and domestically. A permanent exhibition of her work is open in the Turnov Synagogue. She has contributed her work in no small measure to a number of charity projects and auctions, helping, for example, to house twelve families of five after the Tibetan earthquake, or to purchase therapeutic aids for physically disabled children.The works are created using a modern graphic printmaking technique laid on a modified canvas or archival paper base. The colour schemes are complemented by fixed glass stones, whose natural character is adapted into forms of small polished stones (chaton roses). The stones complement and complete the harmonious structures and shapes laid in the colours. The canvases are fixed on a classical tension frame in wood, the graphic prints mounted. The works are numbered and bear a certificate of authenticity.Věra Valášková performs under the artistic name Věra Sufiya. During her studies she started to create mandalas and remains faithful to these themes. Her paintings are not only works of art. Using modern art techniques, the artist translates ancient themes to the present day. Whether it is the feminine and masculine principle of spirituality, the one-time division and merger or the balance of archetypes. She creates her works in a uniform format and execution, yet each is distinctive and fully demonstrates the harmony of singularity and multiplicity. Based on fundamental spiritual principles, each of her paintings can serve as an object conducive to inner and outer purification, as well as mental and physical health. Vera Sufiya Valášková's works can be used for both scouromic and professional psychotherapy, as well as for art therapy. Her paintings have an inner charge that gives them a rich energy that is especially useful in today's restless and turbulent world of people.
