Jarmila Sítníková

I was born on February 4, 1948 in Teplice in Bohemia and I graduated from the Secondary School of Ceramics in Bechyně. I have been surrounded by art all my life. For many years I was involved in ceramics, which remained a matter of heart for me, but today I am more involved in painting. I paint for people's pleasure and amusement. Every year I also paint a flap for a children's film festival that takes place in Zlín. My paintings are more like stories, a kind of a paean, than a work of art. I paint for the pleasure of myself and others.
