Matěj Motyčka (*1960 ) was born into a family of musicians and has been actively involved in music from an early age. He worked in several bands in Moravia and later in Prague. He devoted his life to songwriting, painting and travelling. He graduated from an art school, then studied privately with the academic painter Marie Blábolilová. In his fifties he decided to present his work through two successful exhibitions. He is also interested in mysticism and his works are charged with positive energy.
