Jan Bořil

Jan Bořil - dysgraphic and autodidactic. A spirit of rebellion with a belief in freedom of speech and expression. He has an aversion to authoritarianism and currents of realistic art. His artistic, directly adventurous journey, as if revealing the true identity of the creator, which for him is the most important element of his art. He was born in the environment of Kladno, where, after a number of life peripetias, he met a person who initiated him into the secrets of painting. And from his first steps, through caricatures, watercolour landscapes, oil, to contemporary acrylics and detachment from geometric painting, he came to expressionist abstraction. In addition to painting, after graduating from the College of Applied Psychology, he has been involved in psychological counseling. His paintings show spontaneous work with a brush and other tools, painting directly from the tube or can. Splashes of colour, impulsively applied, create unbounded structures, but with rhythm and movement. The painting often has the character of rituals. They are spontaneous subconscious outpourings of energy that create dynamic and compelling works. Some of his works are mystical and spiritual - a spontaneous record of the artist's emotions. Enough!
