I have been painting and taking photographs for more than 25 years. I started drawing as a child, and later, while studying at the university, I took evening classes in painting from a well-known artist. Later, I became interested in photography and began working professionally as an advertising photographer. I have participated in many international competitions and am a member of the Federation of Professional Photographers. I find the combination of painting and photography very interesting, and it yields some truly surprising results. When framing my photographs, I often have to apply the principles of composition that I learned as a painter. Or I frequently work on surrealist photography and then use it as the basis for creating a painting. Sometimes I take photographs of my own paintings and then process them further to create modern posters and prints. When I’m creating a painting or a photograph, I pay close attention to subconscious images, which aren’t always easy to interpret. It can take two to three months to complete a single painting. I think the viewer wants to understand what the artist has put into his work. I would like my work to provide people not only with aesthetic pleasure, but also with emotional comfort.
