XIV

Description

XIV. An original oil painting of a female figure in a quiet, dreamlike space. Symbolism; a portrait rendered in an expressive style. Delicate, light tones contrast with warm reds, ochres, and browns. Oil on canvas, 40 × 50 cm.

Her closed eyes and serene expression evoke contemplation and inner stillness. The figure is surrounded by flowing layers of color and texture that resemble a flow of energy. XIV combines a realistic portrait with a freer style of painting. The viewer is meant to sense depth, harmony, and stillness. Original artwork.
