I wanted to capture a peaceful and intimate moment between a young girl and her dog. She sits calmly, her hands clasped, looking pensive and a little dreamy. The dog beside her brings a sense of warmth and closeness to the painting.

I chose the vivid orange color of her sweater against the dark green background because I like the contrast between these colors. Loose brushstrokes and the texture of the surface are important to me—I wanted the painting to look lively and natural, not perfectly polished.

For me, this is a simple portrait about peace, youth, and the special bond between a person and a dog.
