Description
Petra Ondráčková’s painting *Pantelleria Island* depicts a woman with black hair standing with her back to the viewer, her hands resting against a wall. A black cat sits beside her, and a sailboat moves across the sea.
A palm tree on the left and a cactus on the right complete the seaside atmosphere. The composition brings together the female figure, the animal, and the Mediterranean landscape in a serene scene inspired by life by the sea. This original work of art was created in 2025 using mixed media on a 40 × 30 cm canvas. It is well-suited for interiors where natural motifs, a Mediterranean atmosphere, and contemporary art take center stage. It is neither a print nor a reproduction.
Diva gazes out at Scauri Bay from her dammuso. She is accompanied by a local cat and the region’s ubiquitous fruits, such as prickly pears, capers, and aloe. Is she perhaps waiting for someone in particular on that sailboat on the horizon?
