Na kolenou (On Knees)

Description

The work shows a man whose body is depicted in dramatic lighting, kneeling with hands bound above his head and surrounded by a dark, unstructured background. This contrast between the illuminated body and the dark background creates a powerful visual effect that draws the viewer into the scene and forces them to reflect more deeply on the message of the painting. By the absence of a face, I tried to create universality of the figure in question. This anonymity allows the viewer to project their own feelings and experiences onto the figure.
