Vánoční kytice (Christmas Bouquet)
Select Frame
Description
An abstraction inspired by Fauvism (Henri Matisse). Color: rich tones of a bouquet. Acrylic on plywood, 46 × 42 cm, varnished, unframed
A Christmas bouquet, but not like a postcard. The colors are vibrant, in the spirit of Fauvism and Matisse, whom the artist admires. This Christmas bouquet captures the spirit of the holiday through its gesture, not its decorations. The viewer is meant to feel the warmth, richness, and joy that need no glitter. Varnished, unframed.
