Description
A single poppy. No meadow.
The corolla fills the canvas; the stem is just a line; the background is silent. The scarlet does not scream here. It whispers, from the light edge of the petal to the dark throat. Dawn is in the title. In the painting is a flower that can carry that dawn.
From a distance, a red spot on a green wall.
Up close, a wrinkle in a petal, a hairy stem, the signature T. Oskina 2025.
For the living room and bedroom. To go with sage-colored plaster, linen, and wood. One canvas is enough. A second flower would be one too many.
Original.
