My name is Anna Vecherskaia. I am a painter and I live in Prague. I paint in watercolour, oil and acrylic. Watercolour is one of my favourite techniques. How is a painting different from a photograph? The artist captures only the essentials on the canvas and leaves out visual noise, such as excess cars, advertisements, garbage, wires and so on. Watercolor allows me to be restrained in my artistic expression. Just a few points of color and the eye recognizes fog, snow, a bird, silhouettes of people. Watercolor is transparent so the paintings have a lot of light and air. I love urban landscapes, portraits, seascapes, animals. I have participated in many international exhibitions ( Prague; Fabriano, Italy; Mexico City, Mexico).
