Anton Kubalík

Figurative oil painting and atmosphere.
Born in 1979 in Žilina. He studied at the School of Applied Arts in Lednické Rovne (majoring in glass design) and subsequently at the Faculty of Arts in Ružomberok (majoring in art education). In his work, he focuses primarily on classical oil painting on canvas.
His works are predominantly figurative with a subtle shift toward abstraction. Characteristic of his work is a sensitive handling of color, light, and atmosphere; the paintings appear harmonious, yet at the same time carry a strong visual and emotional impact. Anton Kubalík focuses on capturing an inner state, mood, or moment that manifests itself in a figure, landscape, or still life. Color is not merely a tool but a vehicle for emotion, ranging from subdued, meditative tones to more striking contrasts that lend the works depth and presence.
His work appeals to lovers of contemporary art, collectors, and those seeking an original painting for their interior, with an emphasis on aesthetic balance and the painting’s ability to “come alive” in the space.
