Dagmar Piorecká

I graduated from the University of Applied Arts in Prague, studio of Tapestry and Textile Design, graduating in 1975. 1990- 2001 assistant professor at VŠUP, 2001-2003 assistant professor at the Faculty of Design at the Technical University in Liberec, 2000- 2020 art therapist at the Psychiatric Hospital in Kosmonosy, Dept. Sadsk .My tapestries are owned by the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague, the North Bohemian Museum in Liberec and the Moravian Gallery. I have participated in many joint exhibitions, solo exhibitions in Prague, Brno, Jablonec, Mlad Boleslav, Rakovn k, Adamov,I left textile and tapestry under the influence of circumstances in the years after the "Velvet Revolution", I studied art therapy and worked as an art therapist for many years. I consider this field to be the most important in my life- the most inspiring, interesting and most importantly the most useful. I am also involved in ceramics. I have been painting continuously all my adult life, and have been fully involved in painting since about 2000.
