Delafruz (b. 1987) is a visual artist active on the international contemporary art scene. In her work, she combines traditional painting techniques with a modern vision; her works are characterized by distinctive symbolism, poetic composition, and a strong emotional resonance.
Her works have been featured in numerous exhibitions across Europe, Asia, and the United States, including major international projects. Notable highlights of her exhibition career include presentations at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris, at The Mozart Hotel in Prague, and her collaboration on a project with McLaren Formula 1. The series “Stained Glass of Prague” (2023), inspired by the visual language of stained glass and the architecture of St. Vitus Cathedral, has been recognized for its artistic and symbolic depth.
Archetypal motifs recur in her works, such as the pomegranate, which the artist uses as a symbol of life, memory, and renewal. Delafruz Baghirova’s work straddles the line between meditative visual expression and contemporary painting, naturally bridging the past and the present.
