Eugene Ivanov
Česká republika 🇨🇿
Evžen Ivanov is a painter who lives and works in the Czech Republic. His work focuses primarily on classical oil painting on canvas. His paintings combine figurative motifs, landscapes, still lifes, and imaginative themes, with an emphasis on composition, light, color, and atmosphere.
His signature style is layered oil painting, which allows him to create depth, subtle color transitions, and a distinctive surface texture. In each painting, he seeks a balance between reality and fantasy, detail and overall mood.
Since 2022, he has regularly participated in the Zlín Film Festival’s Film Clapperboard Salon, for which he creates original hand-painted film clapperboards.
He has presented his works at solo and group exhibitions in Prague, Ostrava, and other Czech cities, as well as abroad. Among other venues, he has exhibited at the Affordable Art Fair and the Chelsea Art Fair in London, Art Ireland in Dublin, EE Fine Art in Cambridge, and the Dulwich Art Fair. In 2017, he also participated in an exhibition at Prague’s Klementinum dedicated to the 500th anniversary of the publication of the Skorina Bible.
His paintings are held in private collections in the Czech Republic, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and other countries.
Each painting is created as a standalone story—with an emphasis on craftsmanship, atmosphere, and emotion, which the viewer can discover in their own way.
