I was born in the mountain town of Trutnov, but I spent most of my life in Jičín and Prague. I was already painting as a child; I attended art classes and participated in various art competitions. In college, I switched from painting to photography, where I learned to better understand composition and the overall scene being depicted. After completing a painting course at the Václav Hollar Higher Vocational School and Secondary Art School, I shifted my focus back to painting from photography. At first, I focused on watercolor, but currently I paint landscapes and abstract works in Fine Art acrylics, occasionally using relief paste. Landscapes inspire me, and I infuse my paintings with a concept that I always write down before actually painting on the canvas. For me, painting is a form of escape and stillness, a way to look within myself, and I let the painting flow. So I never know what the painting will look like in the end.
I hope my paintings will bring their future owners the same sense of peace and pleasant atmosphere that I feel from them myself.
