He was born in Kutná Hora. After graduating from a technical school specializing in mechanical engineering, he went on to study at the University of Economics in Prague. In 1982, he began painting. His works can be described as naive. They stand out for their unexpected ideas and vibrant colors. They adorn homes and offices not only in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, but can also be found in Ireland, Scotland, South Africa, Argentina, Brazil, and China. His works appear in galleries and on the auction market. He lives and works in the Mladá Boleslav region.
