Thanks to my work in education and then my maternal duties, I let my sympathy and admiration for the visual arts lie fallow for years. The painting tools had long been waiting in the cupboard for their time to come. Fortunately, it came and the first works saw the light of day almost twenty years ago. At first, I created mostly for my own pleasure and enjoyment, but later, when my paintings became known to people near and far, my paintings began to make more and more people happy. That pleases me most of all. I am a member of the Association of Artists of the Czech Republic and I regularly exhibit and submit my works to art competitions. My latest paintings can be imaginatively divided into three main streams. The first one is based on the basic elements of fine art and works with colour, light, shape, line and curve. The elements used are not based on reality and are usually not incorporated into real shapes, but rather just suggest them. The other direction of my work, on the other hand, is based on reality, but depicts it perhaps a little simplified, but with an emphasis on dominant colours and shapes, sometimes perhaps in unexpected contexts. The third part of my current work is mainly inspired by nature and builds on my previous work. I would be happy if you, like me, would be interested in the harmony and beauty of nature, the serenity and good mood that the paintings are meant to create and transmit to all who look at them.Jitka
