I was born in Crimea and lived and worked in Kyiv. Where do I get the ideas for my paintings? Most often, they are emotions expressed through color or an initial form. A painting can emerge from a drop of water or, for example, from the old plaster on a house. Putting it all together and presenting it to the viewer in a way that allows them to understand my feelings—that is my true art. My work expresses emotions and feelings; it reveals the perfection and fragility of our world. Where all boundaries and sense of belonging are conditional, and the greatest value is Humanity itself. And if I manage to convey this realization to the viewer—that will be the greatest reward for my work.
