I devote myself, on and off, to painting. I am a lifelong self-taught artist. I paint mainly landscapes in oils—landscapes with a touch of abstraction, but also abstract works. I am particularly fascinated by clouds—especially storm clouds. I study them, and as I say: “A painting doesn’t need any literary story or commentary, because it carries all the information within itself.” Art has only and exclusively a visual effect. If people don’t understand my work, no words will help them. I also paint commissioned works, and I am immensely grateful when people appreciate my style and paintings. Every painting is an original, and I strive to infuse each one with soul. I always paint while listening to music, and I believe that this element is woven into my canvases and resonates far and wide. Through my painting, I always strive to capture and process themes that are turbulent for me at that moment. I decided to start selling my paintings three years ago. I also run an art club at school. I encourage the children to step outside their comfort zones and put a piece of themselves into their artwork. Painting is my hobby. I’d love to pursue it full-time. It’s my dream, which I’m fulfilling step by step. My loving husband and two adult children help me with this.
