For me, creativity has always been connected to space and interiors. For many years, I focused on decorations and wedding arrangements, and I also helped design a hotel’s interior. Gradually, I turned more and more toward painting and working with materials.

I am fascinated by old buildings, palaces, and surfaces that bear the marks of time. I do not view peeling walls, cracks, layers of plaster, or fragments of ornamentation as imperfections. It is precisely in them that I find beauty and inspiration for my paintings.

I work primarily with texture and a muted color palette inspired by Italy and ancient architecture. I enjoy combining surfaces that evoke the past with simple, contemporary elements. The circle appears repeatedly in my work—a shape without beginning or end that, for me, represents continuity and the connection between what was, what is, and what is yet to come.

I also view my paintings as part of the interior. It is important to me that they come alive in a space, complement it, and yet retain their own character.

Non è bello ciò che è bello, ma è bello ciò che piace.

It is not beautiful what is beautiful, but beautiful is what one likes.
