Mikoláš Klír (1990, Prague) is a Czech visual artist who combines painting, sculpture, and experimental materials into a harmonious whole in which reality meets imagination. He graduated from the Secondary School of Applied Arts in Turnov, majoring in artistic metal casting, and later continued his studies in aesthetics, art education, and geography. In his work, he navigates the boundary between abstraction and figuration. He works with the contrast between texture and smooth surfaces, and with the rhythm of light and shadow. He often uses concrete trowel, oil, and acrylic to create three-dimensional layers that draw the viewer into the depth of the painting.Klíra’s works are both introspective and monumental. His figures, landscapes, and symbolic motifs are not merely depictions of the world, but also an inquiry into its meaning. In each work, he seeks a balance between construction and emotion, between precision of form and freedom of expression.Exhibitions and Recognition: “Beyond Reality” exhibition, Ivan Bednář’s New Gallery, Prague – April 8, 2022.
